Ruggedy Range™ Wilderness Experience ("RRWE" has been established and operating in Stewart Island / Rakiura - New Zealand, since 2000. Rakiura National Park covers nearly 93% of Stewart Island. Our focus is the natural environment and wildlife. We are conscious of the impacts on our natural world and endeavour to operate in a sustainable and low impact way. Our tours operate for small groups - we provide quality time and quality information based on years of local knowledge and pride ourselves in offering the most comprehensive guiding service in Stewart Island and Ulva Island. We operate all year round, however, the majority of the work is highly seasonal, driven by visitor demand. Key tourist months are October through to April, but demand varies from year to year. Stewart Island and Ulva Island continue to be popular destinations for New Zealanders and international clients.
