An assisted living residence provides a social model of care to persons who require supervision or assistance with one or more activities of daily living (ADL's).  These activities may include assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, walking, incontinence, housekeeping, or taking medications timely.  Assisted living also provides coordination of outside medical services and social activities to ensure the health, safety and well-being of each person.  Statistically, an assisted living resident needs assistance with an average of three (3) ADL's.
