The Rotary Club of Central Launceston is located right in the heart of Launceston. With a growing membership of approx 50 Rotarians, this service club has supported many local organisations and charities as well as other local and worldwide Rotary causes. The Rotary Club of Central Launceston was chartered in 1983 and is now one of the largest memberships in Tasmania, raising over $1.8m for local and global initiatives. Rotary is a not-for-profit service organisation and our members commit to the ideals of Service Above Self. We have lunch each Monday with a lineup of engaging speakers from all walks of life. Our main events include - Sally's Ride and the Tamar Valley Cycle Challenge raising funds for local mental health initiatives. - Our commitment to inclusion, health and education includes the Ravenswood Heights Primary School including breakfast club and reading programs and meals on wheels services.- Waterbores for Tanzania We are people of action.
