I wasn't one of the lucky ones to grow up with hockey. But then, I guess it's better this way. Hockey found me. In a time when my life was a little disorganized, I found joy in watching the sport, learning everything I could about it, and having a team to support through thick and thin. Being a fashion designer, I was a little disenchanted by the lack of cute clothes for die-hard hockey girls. I searched for apparel from one company to the next, but could never find exactly what I was looking for. And so, RINK ROCKET was born. It combines my insane hockey lust with my passion for apparel, as well as my background in the performing arts and rock and roll. When I go to hockey games, I feel like I'm going to a rock show.You can wear a jersey and a ponytail. That's fine. But some of us want to be noticed on certain occassions, and I wanted to create a line of clothing that girls could wear to games, practice, school- wherever!- that truly expressed their passion for hockey while making them feel unique and awesome.When I'm not designing or working on RINK ROCKET, I'm watching hockey, going to ballet class, seeing a concert, or hanging out with my puppy, Percy. I like to go to Phoenix, AZ often. I lived there for several years and it's always nice to take in the sunshine and a Coyotes game! Also whilst in Arizona, you can find me partying with my boys in the band, the CRASH STREET KIDS. I love to perform in their gigs as a glitter-rock cheerleader. No matter what, I'm always dancing, always smiling, and always celebrating life...in what ever hair color I think is cool at the moment.
