The "Oxford - Brazil EBM Alliance" is an international partnership between Oxford's Center for Evidence-Based Medicine (CEBM) and the Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) Departments of leading Brazilian medical schools. The Alliance aims to provide Evidence-Based Medicine and curriculum development training to medical educators (professors or tutors) in Brazil, thus fostering sustainability and replicability of effective teaching and learning throughout medical schools in Brazil. Training is delivered via a series of workshops, carried out by professors and facilitators from Oxford and Brazil. This project is underpinned in a concept of creating and developing a Center of excellence in EBM teaching and training, which intends to become a standard bearer and reference not only in Brazil but the rest of South America.
