Home brewery l'Anti from Maarkedal is the original brewer and inspirer. When he thought about retirement, Kriestof and Pieter, also from Maarkedal, asked if they could save the beer from extinction. Maarkedalse Tripel is a light amber-coloured, softly bitter beer brewed with aromatic Chinook hops that tickle the side of your tongue. The fruitiness comes from a yeast cultivated in the middle of the Maarkedal hills, which adds an extra local dimension. Nowadays, the beer is brewed at De Graal in Brakel.
