It will provide the latest information on chemical hazards and chemical safe use in children. The site contains balanced scientific information on a range of topics to help parents and the public better understand and translate information on potential or purported health risks related to chemical exposures. Currently, the site includes information on asthma, compact fluorescent lamps, toys, fluoride, carbon monoxide and general information about toxicology and risk assessment. Additional topics will be incorporated and continuously updated.Content for Kids + Chemical Safety is developed by a review panel made up of a core group of experts from various scientific and medical organizations. The review panel will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information provided. Parents and other members of the public can get involved and suggest topics for discussion and analysis using the "Ask an Expert" feature on the website.
