KPA ITB is an angklung cultural organization engaged in arts and culture by promoting angklung as its main musical instrument. KPA ITB has a desire to preserve the nation's cultural heritage which is expressed through creative ideas. Even though angklung is a traditional musical instrument, KPA ITB always tries to keep up with the times by bringing contemporary songs in every performance. We believe that traditionalism does not mean it is out of date and progress with the times does not mean forgetting national identity.Since its establishment on March 17, 1972, KPA ITB has always played an active role in efforts to preserve angklung music. Activities that are routinely carried out by KPA ITB are holding the Festival Paduan Angklung (FPA) which is an angklung competition for elementary, middle, high school and general classes, holding an Angklung Concert (KPA in Concert), appearing in the Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru ITB Ceremony and OSKM Open House Unit, ITB Graduation Ceremony, ITB Anniversary, and appeared at invitations from institutions from within and outside the campus, from national and international parties. The journey of KPA-ITB in the international world cannot be doubted. KPA-ITB has brought angklung to various countries such as Malaysia (2007), Germany (2008), Singapore (2011), Malaysia (2011), Singapore (2013-2014), Norway (2016), and Malaysia (2023).
