Kalhath Institute has been set up by Maximiliano Modesti, who has worked International luxury brands for many years and is managed by Jaspal Kalra who graduated in design from NIFT and has done his doctorate in "Design Education for Chikankari Artisans". The Institute constantly research and co-work with craft communities to enhance their confidence in craft practice, financial independence and social well-being through engagement and enhancement of excellence and creativity. The institute presently has 8 month programme for zardosi artisans whereby design and entrepreneurial thinking of artisans is enhanced. The course is on 100% scholarship for artisans practicing zardosi and is also supported with fellowship.
