Kairos Therapeutic Retreat is an innovative, relationship-centered organization with a mission to develop and promote holistic healing practices that help cancer survivors reclaim whole-person health, rebuild inner skills for resilience, and renew their lives to thrive.The Kairos Care ecosystem creates communities of support empowering cancer survivors as they navigate the journey of deep healing after the trauma of cancer treatment.Our retreats offer a sanctuary for survivors, incorporating evidence-based integrative practices designed to generate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual resilience in the face of a healing journey.At Kairos Therapeutic Retreat we deliver a transformational life experience based on the innate power of the human being to heal from within, and through various modalities:• Incorporate body movement, whole-food nutrition, expression through art, and other integrative evidence-based modalities• Raise awareness of the benefits of mindfulness and mind-directed practices• Encourage communion with nature as a method of stress relief• Create connectedness among a community dedicated to sustainable healing• Provide tools to sustain transformational resultsThe financial burden of treating cancer induces severe financial toxicity for many and may preclude participants from benefiting from our retreat experience. We have formed as a non-profit to fundraise, collect donations, and enroll sponsors to build the retreat as well as fund the anticipated and ongoing needs of participants.
