James Orchard Studios (a.k.a. JOs) is an art incubator located in Auburn, NY. JOs is a nonprofit organization seeking 501(c)(3) status able to accept charitable donations.The building in its present condition is not habitable. Our first goal is to renovate the building. The exterior will be returned to its original glorious condition. The interior will be adapted to the needs of artists involved in the production of tactile artwork, as well as meet City and State building and safety codes.Plans for the structure include a Gallery for the sale of artwork, a Community Studio where classes and demonstrations can be held, and 20 individual art studios. Outreach program will introduce local students and adults to the creation and appreciation of various forms of art.Artworks produced at JOs will include crafts, sculpture, jewelry, paintings, drawings, and ceramics.
