Inflammation – exploring how your body's inflammatory response to infection and injury helps you to fight infectious diseases, like COVID-19, autoimmune diseases and cancer. We house Australia's largest group of inflammation and immunity scientists and clinicians.1. Reproductive health and pregnancy – answering the tough questions around infertility and pregnancy complications to reduce rates of infertility and stillbirth and to find new treatments for endometriosis and birth trauma.2. Infant and child health – protecting vulnerable newborns from complications during birth, in the critical early weeks of life and exploring better treatments for childhood diseases.4. Cancer – investigating how cancer starts developing, and exploring ways to better diagnose, detect and treat life-threatening cases.5. Hormones and Health – improving the understanding of how your hormonal (endocrine) system maintains its delicate balance to improve your health and wellbeing.
