As the first underwater data center services provider in China, we excel at Underwater Data Center and IT services thanks to excellent industrial integration capabilities. An Underwater Data Center ("UDC") consists of a shore station, sea cables, as well as water-cooled subsea components including substations and data modules. Our system features excellent PUE (PUE <1.15), efficient modular construction (24 rakes per module), maintenance free, and rapid deployment times(within 90 days). Deploying data centers underwater also increases equipment reliability while minimizing land footprint. The UDC concept was first pioneered by Microsoft, with their tests revealing a server failure rate one-eighth that of traditional IDCs in land. Then, from 2020 to 2021, Highlander completed energy efficiency, environmental, and networking approvals/tests in Zhuhai and Haikou, further verifying the eco-friendliness, stability, and feasibility. In December 2022, as part of Hicloud's sample project, the first set of UDC modules were deployed in Qingshui Bay, Lingshui County, Hainan province, carrying services for clients such as China Telecom. In the future, we will continue to support the Hainan International Data Gateway initiative and further validate the UDC business model. Meanwhile, thanks to the push on energy use and emission reduction policies in China, Hicloud aims to expand into data center markets near the Yangtze and Pearl River Deltas by filling the high-performance computing gap.
