The Story of Granola Grown I was raised by a young, single dad, and for all his amazing qualities, cooking was not among them! We did not starve, but we typically ate just one home-cooked meal per year, usually spaghetti! This aspect of growing up drove me inversely to become a skilled cook as an adult.Since she began to walk, my daughter Anniston, has joined me in the kitchen to create big batches of love together. In the last six years, she has progressed from supervised stirring to recipe development! You should see her Mickey Mouse granola cakes!! We share more than cooking. My whole family is committed to kindness at scale. Anniston is one of our greatest teachers, from the way she offers to help us with her baby sister, Dakota Grace, to the requests she makes of my husband and me to be charitable and live in Service.At her school, a lot of children have sensitivities, allergies, or auto-immune disorders that can be troubled by gluten, dairy, and nuts. So, when we began this business, we developed our all-natural Granola Grown recipe to avoid those items, because anything good enough to make a ton of should be enjoyed by everyone. We wanted each essential ingredient to stand out, each sunflower seed, each oat.
