Girl Up, Zubaan is a revolutionary chapter under the Girl Up initiative by the UN Foundation pioneered in 2010 to work towards securing the social, political, financial, educational and medical security of girls across the world through its dynamic collaboration with the United Nations (through its various agencies- UNWomen, UNHCR, UNICEF etc.)Girl Up, Zubaan aims to redefine, revive and reform feminism through an inclusive, empathetic and sustainable approach. We seek to achieve the undermentioned goals (but not restricted to) through a versatile approach that enables everyone to think, educate, explore, upscale, collaborate, and advocate. 1. Redefining feminism through acknowledgement, assessment, and strategic targeting of elements weakening the movement.2. Fostering in-group cohesion by building a model which challenges internalized misogyny.3. Inclusion, acknowledgment, and action-oriented perusal of the voices of marginalized women and gender non-conforming individuals.4. Critical focus on providing tools for financial independence to women.5. Initiating dialogues on critical issues pertaining to women health - mental, reproductive, and physical.6. Core emphasis on United Nations Sustainable development goals, specifically SDG 5: Gender equality and SDG 4: Quality education
