Paynesville is home to the largest operation, housing a boatyard with a full range of maintenance activities, a 40 tonne travel lift and the largest capacity slip (120 tonne) between Westernport Bay and the NSW border. Bullock Island boatyard operates a 100 tonne travel lift to cater for the larger vessels, whilst the slipways at Port Welshpool and Mallacoota can handle vessels up to 70 tonne and 16 tonne respectively. Port Franklin slip is a minor facility operated under licence by a local community group and caters for vessels up to 4 tonne.
