This life saving foundation was first started 2011 by an amazing man who had the vision and strong determination to help those who were affected by cleft and congenital malformations. Gentur Sudjatmiko MD, a plastic surgeon and member of the staff of Plastic Surgery Division Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital – Faculty of Medicine University Indonesia and who is also a sitting member of the Indonesian College of Plastic Surgery and has dedicated his life to working in the plastic reconstructive field. In order to create this foundation Gentur Sudjatmiko formed a professional team of doctors and other concerned people to help him.His team includes: Mohamad Rachadian Ramadan MD, who is Gentur Sudjatmiko's personal research assistant and his best students Teuku Adifitrian, MD, Siti Handayani MD, Prasetyanugraheni MD, Ayu Dyah Pravitasari, MD. They are also supported by Brigjen TNI (Purn) Mardjo Soebiandono, SpB (K), Dr. Guntoro, SpBP Ustd and DR. Ali Nurdin, MA. The Gentur Cleft Foundation was finally established and authorized by Vidi Andito SH, in February 2012.The foundation now has already helped more than 150 underprivileged and poor children with cleft and congenital malformations with free surgeries.
