My own self-employed business as a freelance musician - baritone and pianist. Born and educated in Durham, Gareth initially studied as a pianist. He discovered a love of singing while a member of the highly-regarded youth choirs The National Youth Choir, Rodolfus and Laudibus. He read music at King's College, Cambridge while singing in the Choir of St John's College under Dr Christopher Robinson CVO. From 2002 until 2010 he was a baritone in the Choir of St George's College, Windsor Castle, and since early 2010 has been entirely freelance. He regularly sings as as soloist and with many professional groups including EXAUDI Vocal Ensemble and The King's Consort. He frequently appears on stage and will soon be performing in the Raymond Gubbay production of Madam Butterfly at the Royal Albert Hall.
