Fondazione Toscana Sostenibile (FTS) is a non-profit organization established in 2002 by people interested in gathering their own disciplines and professional and political experiences to promote sustainable models of development through research activities and diffusion of knowledge.FTS acts as a research institute, which promotes environmental sustainability and participation in civil life. FTS interacts with many policies and social actors, public entities and schools, involving them in its educational and scientificprojects. Moreover, Fondazione Toscana Sostenibile cooperates with social, economic and institutional subjects topromote environmental, social and economic quality in Tuscany through education and long-life learning, in agreementwith the European, national and regional regulations.In its 20 years of activity, FTS has acquired a deep knowledge of the youth and adult needs in non-formal educationthanks to the collaboration with schools, universities and NGOs, the organisation and coordination of workshops,seminars and courses, the planning and participation in several Erasmus + projects in the environmental sector.FTS involves volunteers in all its dissemination and training activities, involving them in European projects and localinitiatives.
