The First Pitch Foundation is a non-profit organization established to honor our returning soldiers and their families by providing an opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a professional baseball game. More than 200,000 troops are in Iraq and Afghanistan and many will be returning home in the next couple of years. What better way to welcome them home then by honoring them with the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a professional baseball game. More than a dozen Professional Baseball team throughout California are going to honor our heroes by allowing them to throw out the 1st pitch at a home game this season. The 1st Pitch Foundation needs your financial help in making these memorable occasions for the honorees. We are looking for tax-deductible donations to offset the cost of travel, tickets and plaques that will be given to the honorees.
