Canadian born, of British descent and residing again in Australia after several years in the UK, Eastern Europe and most recently Southeast Asia, Hilary is not only a true commonwealth citizen but carries with her a broad wealth of global experience and cultural absorption that adds many layers to her artwork.Entering the art world more than 20 years ago, initial commissions allowed Hilary to develop her work in a wide range of figurative and abstract styles, before quickly focusing on a style that, with a nod to her heroes such as Mark Rothko and Marcia Myers, nevertheless captures her own unique sense of colour, texture and perspective. Both independent and collective exhibition, have seen collectors hang her pieces on their walls as far afield as Seattle, New York, Toronto, Sydney, Brisbane, Edinburgh and York.
