We have been researching local food distribution in San Francisco, Austin and New York City since 2011.In October 2012, we implemented Farm2me Local Food Distribution in response to Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief, and have been able to feed over 100k organic meals to 35 disaster relief centers in 3 Boroughs in New York City & various counties in New Jersey. This was accomplished with 100 local food makers and farms from our NY network.Our disaster relief model is based on building a social media and E-commerce platform connecting the local food system, technology, industry leaders and people to support and sustain local food systems worldwide.
