In the past 20 years, Family Promise has touched the lives of over 400 families, helping 1,200 individuals regain their self-sufficiency. In addition to providing emergency shelter, we assist families and individuals in preventing eviction, helping them with past-due rent, security deposits, and other essential expenses required to secure stable housing. Regrettably, families with children continue to be the fastest-growing segment of the homeless population in the United States. Family Promise of Greater Kingsport offers a safe, family-oriented environment, nutritious meals, and mentoring services to homeless families with children under 18, guiding them to regain independence. Notably, Family Promise is the only shelter in Kingsport that can accommodate two-parent families and single fathers with adolescent girls, allowing them to stay together as they rebuild their lives.
