Mary-Jean Harris is the owner of Fairytale Princess Parties in Canada's capital, Ottawa. After working as a princess performer, Mary-Jean took over the company in 2018 and has been passionate about making Fairytale Princess Parties a magical and memorable experience for children and parents alike. They now have more characters than ever, including princesses, princes, superheroes, wizards, mermaids, fairies, and mascots. They pride themselves on reliability, their skilled performers, and realistic and enchanting character portrayal. They have also attended many corporate and community events over the years, including Canada's Tulip Festival, fairs, CHEO's fundraising events, and have hosted special events such as princess PJ parties, Christmas parties, Easter egg hunts, and pizza parties with Boston Pizza. One of the charities that Fairytale Princess Parties supports through special events and fundraising is Make-A-Wish Canada, a charity that helps create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. They have also had the pleasure of attending the Dreams Take Flight gala and donating a special princess party package to their silent auction.Mary-Jean also has her Masters degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Waterloo in the Perimeter Scholars International Program. Before that, she attended Carleton University for her undergraduate in theoretical physics with a minor in philosophy. She is also a writer of fantasy and historical novels and short stories, including two published novels, Aizai the Forgotten and Shadows of Aizai, and one novella, Perilous. Later this year, Mary-Jean will be releasing a new novel, Night of the Immortals. Mary-Jean is a tutor and teaching assistant as well, specializing in math and science.
