Who We AreLed by Professor Alejandro Frangi, Professor of Biomedical Image Computing in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, CISTIB is a research group with 29members comprising 3 academics, 2 Research Fellows, 6 Research Associates, 3 Scientific Software Developers, 10 PhD Students and 5 Professional Support Staff.What We DoCISTIB performs cutting-edge research in areas of fundamental and applied biomedical imaging and modelling with impact in personalised minimally-invasive therapies and active and healthy ageing. Our team has an international and interdisciplinary profile and has a strong commitment to clinical and industrial translation with impact in future healthcare.CISTIB focuses on 5 medical technologies and related strategic research and development areas.
